On Native Soil

Some parts of this movie really bothered me. I was disturbed at the miscommunications between the air traffic controllers and the people they were talking to. No one seemed to know what was going on when it was blatantly in front of them. I was also disturbed at the fact that we could have done more to prevent the attack, we knew more about it then i had thought. One final thing that disturbed me was the footage of people jumping from the buildings. I can't even imagine standing in those buildings and making those kinds of decisions. Watching the planes hit the towers was another bit of the movie that was a little hard to watch. I would think about how those people may have felt at that very moment.

I share the same feeling of disbelief when it comes to the actions taken by people with authority on 9-11. The thing that also shocked me was how the terrorists got through security in the airport. I have done most of the flying in my life after 9-11 so it’s hard for me to believe they got through so easily, knowing how hard it is to get to your gate these days. The high-jackers got on these planes with no id. I think it’s sad that something like these attacks had to happen for us to take actions to make thing safer.

I agree, listening to the stewardess trying to radio for help and being totally denied was so hard to watch! That and seeing the security camera footage of the hijackers setting off the metal detectors and then the airport people just letting them through on the planes anyways is so frustrating to see! So many lives could have been saved if airport security was a little tighter or if someone could have acted faster in response to hearing about the hijackers, but hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

the main thing i couldnt grasp was the whole airport security thing. How could no who would just let numorous peoplee go thru a airline metal detector while setting it off. I mean i think the whole airline security is a joke or was. I mean now you cant really take much but clothes on the plain. My point is that the whole 9/11 could have mostly been avoided. Its a shame what happened and how the outcome came out
